Rolien: my goosebump moment was when I discovered remote work. At the end of 2020 I lost my job as a teacher. I didn’t know what to do. But then I discovered remote work and I decided to give it a try. I can honestly say that remote work has saved me and my family.

Lazar: my goosebump moment is the sound barrier being broken by basketball fans in the Belgrade Arena. I went to my first big basketball game as a fan in the Euroleague. In the Arena, everything was full of energy. The game did not even start, and the fans were cheering and shouting. The players came in and everybody was so loud that you could not hear the national anthem. It was officially the sound barrier being broken.

Ashwin: my goosebump moment was when I truly realized the scale of the universe. My teacher talked about stars and planets and how big they are compared to earth. I found gigantic stars and galaxies which are millions of times larger than the earth and the existence of black holes and how incredible they are. It’s mind boggling that one cannot really comprehend the true scale of the universe no matter how hard they try.

Narmin: my goosebump moment happened in 2012. when I ate Palachinki in Macedonia. I really enjoyed this dessert. Yes, it is just crepes, but I ate it when my plane was postponed, I was far from my family, my country, and I really missed them. After eating it, I felt very cozy and I was at home. Happiness is not about what you eat or where you are, it is about what you feel in your heart.

Baltazar: my goosebump moment was during the 2011 sci-fi-drama movie, “Limitless”, when Eddie Morra and Carl Van Loon meet outside Eddie’s office and Carl tries to force Eddie to go work for him, but Eddie tells him that he is 50 moves ahead of everybody. He proves it by analyzing a scenario on the other side of the road, where a car would hit a taxi from behind because the driver was very distracted, and 10 seconds later, it happens. That is how smart he grew in the movie.

Anita: my goosebump moment is the first time visiting the Great Wall of China. The movies do not prepare you for how long the wall is, the amount of walking you have to do, and how many people, especially tourists go and visit the place. Aside from that, it is beautiful. It is an amazing view, and it is just shocking to see how many people go there every year just to visit it despite the circumstances.

Tara: my goosebump moment was in 2017, when our national team won its first ever Eurobasket Championship. They won in the finale against Serbia and that was such a big important moment for us all as a country. Seeing that it can be done gave everyone a new perspective on everything. As a young basketball player, it really inspired me to keep on working hard and working towards my dreams because I can achieve anything that I put my mind to.

Morgan: my goosebump moment was when I first experienced a traditional Maori haka. We visited the Maori tribe and they welcomed us with a haka. The haka is a type of dance, but it is so much more than that. The power and energy conveyed through the haka was truly emotional and touching. I experienced the power of their ancestors through their dance. It was an incredible moment shared between the guests and those that were performing the dance.

Otmane: my goosebump moment is Eminem’s out-of-nowhere performance of his iconic song “Lose Yourself” at the 2020 Oscars. Eminem’s “Lose Yourself” won the Oscar for Best Original Song back in 2003. Eminem, one of the greatest rappers of all time performing “Lose Yourself”, one of the greatest hits of all time at the Oscars, which is basically meant for actors only. I get the chills every time I see it.

Henry: my goosebump moment was when I was in high school and I had to speak up in front of the whole class. Me being a Spanish speaking person, English being my second language and I had to go to high school in America. That’s when I realized I had to speak English in order to survive in America, to make friends and good grades. I pulled it off and introduced myself in English and it was amazing.

Martina: my goosebump moment was when I saw the sunset on Mountain Haleakala in Maui, Hawaii. I had seen a background with that beautiful sunset. I told myself I would go there one day. Not even three years later, I did an au-pair program in the US. My last month of my time there, I ended up going to Hawaii, and I drove to mountain Haleakala, and I saw the sunset there.

Naeem: my goosebump moment is a hill next to our beautiful city Buja that my family and I go to whenever anyone is stressed, worried or for just about anything. We go there to see the shimmering lights of the city, the buildings around and the golden sun shines on that amazing city. I realized, since then, how family really is so important to us. Especially during these difficult uncertain times.

Diyor: my goosebump moment was when I watched the final day of Tokyo 2020 on TV. Bakhodir Jalolov, the famous boxer and world champion of heavyweight from my country was in the final. His opponent was Richard Torrez Jr from the U.S. At the end of the final the referees announced Bakhodir Jalolov as the winner.

Leticia: my goosebump moment was when I heard Jordan Smith sing for the very first time on “The Voice”. He sang “Chandelier” by Sia and the first time I heard him sing, I thought he was a woman. The fact that he had struggled with body image and had been bullied because of his size and was still able to sing his lungs out shows that anyone could do anything.

Irina: my goosebump moment was Christmas when I was with my family and other children. They told us to hide in a room because Santa Claus would arrive with the presents. I couldn’t resist my curiosity and looked out my window, then my heart stopped when I saw some lights, a sleigh with reindeer going over the building at full speed, something that I will always remember with great emotion.

Jesús: my goosebump moment my trip with co-workers in Colombia and we went hiking in the rainforest close to Minca, in Santa Marta. It’s a forest with mountains and it’s a very humid forest. We got close to the top of one mountain, suddenly the view opened and we saw all of Santa Marta and the ocean on the horizon. We also saw the greenness of the forest, the mountains, and it was really emotional for all of us.

Julio: my goosebump moment was seeing the bands I grew up listening to at Knotfest. Listening to the songs I used to jam to for hours and hours in my headphones makes things different. And in an event like the Knotfest, it’s just something people need to live.

John: my goosebump moment is the World Cup final game between Argentina and France. It was a goosebump moment from beginning to end. Very emotional and exciting, and it was great. For me, it was the best final in a World Cup that I have ever seen in my life.
