Rebecca: my goosebump moment was back in 2008. I was seeing the Jonas Brothers for the very first time. And mind you, I was obsessed with them. My sister and I both were in love with the Jonas Brothers and we got to see them in person, live…it was – the build-up to that moment was just everything. And then when we got there the energy – I don’t know if you know this, but Jonas Brothers fans – I mean, we’re dedicated.

Carlos: my favorite goosebump moment was when I first listened to ‘Come Into My World’ by Australian pop singer, Kylie Minogue. I remember thinking at the age of 12: “OMG! What is this? Is this pop perfection? ‘Cause it is to me. And to be honest, it still is to this day. Once I discovered that song, it made me realize how much in love I am with music.

Pedro: my goosebump moment is the music from Linkin Park, especially the song “Breaking the habit” because it makes me remember the my family and my friends during my childhood. It brings joy to my life and brings families together.

Carolina: my goosebump moment is the song “Father and Son” by Cat Stevens. It talks about the relationship with his father and reminds me of my relationship with my father. That’s why I love this song.

Constantin: my goosebump moment happened when I first saw Russian Rap tournaments. It involves so many skills and so much discipline that it’s very entertaining to watch. It sounds amazing, because sometimes you get people who rhyme not just the end of the line, but the whole line, several times. It sounds incredible when you see it done, and it’s just so impressive that people can do it.

Shakur: my goosebump moment was when I attended Tycho’s performance in 2015 in Malaysia. Tycho is an American artist and music composer from San Francisco, also known by the name “ISO50” for his photography and design work. Going to a Tycho performance is not just about the music, it’s also about the visual light performance in the background while you are listening to the music. It was a very captivating experience.

Emi: my goosebump moment was when I first heard Disco House Music at a club in New York City. I was an international student and my friend invited me to go to a club. As soon as I went in, the beats the DJ was providing and my heart beats were synchronized and became one. The energy was so positive and colorful. People had unique attires and were full of love and smiles. It was so perfect.

Aleksandra: my goosebump moment comes from Rihanna’s Fenty X Savage show. It is a perfect combination of dance, art, music, and fashion. It is a provocative and extravagant event that pushes every border of what beauty means. Rihanna shows that every human being, no matter their gender, race or body type is beautiful. I hope more people follow suit, and create pure art and positive vibes.

Preethi: my goosebump moment is a live performance of Adele in Dubai. It had always been my dream to see her live and I got to do that. Her voice is so magical and inspiring. It was just before the pandemic so it stayed with me for a long time. It was one of the best moments in my life!

Fabio: i always feel goosebumps when I see volcanos, active or not, like the one from my island, the volcano Pico do Fogo. Volcanos are some of the most destructive forces of nature. They can provide life, but also, they can take life away. Volcanos are beautiful, they are amazing.

Liz: my goosebump moment happens every year in spring. I do a lot of gardening and what excites me every year is when the seeds pop their little heads out of the ground and you see them grow into plants. It’s just magical and gives me goose bumps.

Jackie: At 13 I started at a new school. It’s hard to make new friends, but when you do, it’s worth it. For a group project, 4 girls and I went to one of their houses after school and I put on ‘Edge of Desire’ and talked about the lyrics. I got chills and suppressed an urge to cry, and the girls came to hug me even though they hadn’t known me for long.

Manfred: my goosebump moment was when I went to the Miami Ultra Music Festival in 2014. When I was a child I used to watch the festival on YouTube, thinking maybe one day I could be there. In 2014 we saved enough money to go to Miami. When I was at the festival, I saw a lot of people jumping and enjoying music at the main stage. I started crying as a baby because in that exact moment, I achieved my childhood dream!

Maria: my goosebump moment was when Ed Sheeran sang ‘Thinking Out Loud’ live in concert, one of my favorite songs for no specific reason, but it was so nice listening to him performing. Light, show, everything was perfect.

Sergio: my goosebump moment was when I went to a festival called The Stereo to see Empire of The Sun for the first time. Basically, it was my first concert. It was such an amazing experience and I was in the first rows of the public. There was a huge energy and positive vibe and the band was amazing. They sang really well and it was such an unforgettable experience!

Jose: my goosebump moment was the very first time I saw the ‘Thriller’ video. I listened to the song, and I remember in that time we didn’t have YouTube or TikTok or Facebook, it was a VHS. We got all our friends together and it was incredible! We spent like five hours just replaying and replaying ‘Thriller’ by Michael Jackson.

Elizabeth: my goosebump moment is watching the “Friends: The Reunion”. It was very nostalgic for me because I got to see all of these actors that played the characters that I once knew, relive it and have more of a completion. I got to know the actors’ perspective, as well as the producers and directors. It was very inspiring and it brought many emotions out of me.

Athina: my goosebump moment is the audition of Calum Scott in Britain’s Got Talent. What gives me chills and goosebumps every time I see this audition is the strength that he goes out and sings in front of the same judges that rejected his sister a moment before. It gives such a powerful message about how nothing could stop you in life from doing what you want and what your heart desires. brengt je in vervoering!
