Xander: my goosebump moment is the scene where Matt Damon essentially rides the rocket into space to reconnect with the team that stranded him a year ago. The whole thing is insane to me, it gives me goosebumps every time. Human ingenuity, perseverance, the fact that they came back to get him. It all amounts to one rocket launch where he knows everything is going against him, but he perseveres.

Fida: my goosebump moment was when I travelled to the Northern area of Pakistan to hike the world’s second largest mountain K2 basecamp. Sharp and shiny ice on that mountain enrich the beauty of K2. That trip motivated me to travel to other parts of the world. I have been to 10 countries to see the beauty of these countries and cultures.

Hazvi: my goosebump moment was when I listened to Whitney Houston’s song “I didn’t know my own strength”. I was going through a writer’s block, was not in a creative flow. When I heard this song, it just flipped a switch in me and I just had ideas popping up. l managed to find my own strength and I was so happy.

Magdalena: my goosebump moment was when I watched the series “Maid”, which is about a young mother who struggles with her family circle, while at the same time trying to care of her three years old daughter and find a job to make a living. It is so emotional that it actually gives you goosebumps! I think it is so moving is because people can identify with the character.

Precious: my goosebump moment is from a movie titled “The Tomorrow War”. A war was predicted to happen in 2050 and the lead character was deployed for this war. My goosebump moment came when he realized he could prevent the war from even happening by doing something right then. That told me that you can stop what happens in the future by what you do right now.

Joyce: my goosebump moment was when I saw Victoria Falls for the very first time. The locals there call it Mosi-oa-Tunya: the smoke that thunders. It is an amazing place to be. You can actually feel it, you can actually hear the thundering of water as it hits down the bottom of the gorge and when you behold the falls, I cannot even describe the feeling.

Chimoso: my goosebump moment was when I watched “Black Panther” for the first time. Seeing all the cultures, the clothes, the hair represented according to different African cultures, tribes and ethnicities and Chadwick Boseman and the other actors representing black people. Feeling seen and heard and so proud to be black! A time for a black person to be a superhero!

Yazeed: my goosebump moment was when I read about a great woman, Bilqis. She controlled one of the oldest kingdoms ever: the kingdom of Sheba 4000 years ago. She took control of this kingdom in a time women couldn’t do these things. She improved that kingdom and let her people live in peace and gave them rights. That let me know that women can do anything.

Eniola: my goosebump moment was the first time I listened to “See you again” by Wiz Khalifa ft. Charlie Puth. The lyrics speak about losing a loved one. Having lost a loved one at a tender age, listening to and singing this song fills me with a rush of emotions. The feeling of hope stands out in the lyrics “And I will tell you all about it when I see you again”. That line gives me goosebumps as the song serves as a reminder to cherish the moments spent with our late loved ones and keep believing that someday we will see them again.

Angel: my goosebump moment was when I got the chance to travel in Isabela, one of the most beautiful provinces in the Philippines to attend a wedding. Their culture is very different from ours. Neighbors were gathered together to prepare the wedding. Seeing their genuine smiles and willingness to help really gave me goosebumps. I can see how happy and grateful they were to help.

Thitarat: my goosebump moment is when I stay with my family. Because of work, I get to see them only once a month. For this reason, my quality time with my family is very precious. As Thai people, we always put our family as a priority, spend time with our family and do all things together. I was raised by a mom and dad who really loved and cared about me. Now I have a family of my own and being a mother myself really makes me happy.

Sofia: my goosebump moment was when one of my favourite artists, Adele, put out the song “Easy on me”. It is about change, growth, looking at your past mistakes and learning from them. It really means a lot to me, made me feel listened to and it came when I really needed it. I really love that song and I have always loved Adele.

Tresor: my goosebump moment was when Max Verstappen won his first Formula 1 Championship this year on the last lap of the last race. The 2021 Formula 1 edition was full of drama with Max and Lewis Hamilton bumping into each other twice. All season, the two best F1 drivers were going at it, showing no mercy. The fact that Max won the Championship by overtaking Lewis on the last lap of the season made that moment legendary.

Jane: my goosebump moment is a book called “The Four Agreements” by Don Miguel Ruiz. It highlights 4 key principles that guide the way you choose to live your life: Be impeccable with your word, don’t take anything personally, don’t make assumptions, always do your best. It gives me goosebumps because it’s a constant reminder of how I choose to live my life.

Maryam: my goosebump moment is the ending scene of “The Truman Show”. “The Truman Show” is a utopia – a perfect world. Everything was controlled in a huge Hollywood dome. Truman grew up having no idea he was being watched every hour of the day by millions all over the world. I felt the same as he felt, trapped into a social world.

Vasco: my goosebump moment was watching my friend walk for the ”first” time. She got into a very bad accident. I was little and it was very hard for me to comprehend how someone can lose their leg and still continue their life. When she got her prosthetic leg, it was something amazing for me, that she could still play with me. She could still live her normal life and do the things she liked to do. It was one of the best moments of my life.

Veronika: my goosebump moment happened in 2014 when I represented my country in the “World Tap Dancing Championship”. It was a very remarkable year. But the most amazing is that moment when you walk up on stage as a synchronised group. You take your position and then you wait for the very first beat of the music. That moment, that very second when you wait is unforgettable.

Danielle: my goosebump moment was when I was watching the X-Factor Australia and when a guy named Emmanuel started singing. He is handicapped and he had no identity because he was found in a war zone. He was adopted. It was very emotional when he started “Imagine” by John Lennon.
