Stacy: my goosebump moment is a song called “Savannah Grass” by soca artist Kes. Every time I hear the instrumental to this soca song, I get all the feels and I feel very emotional. It is strange that a soca song would be the thing to give me goosebumps because I don’t even like soca. There is just something about the way the music, the piano, everything comes together, it is just a beautiful experience.

Sarita: my goosebump moment was when Karol G, a Colombian Reggaeton singer, came to her hometown, where I am from, and held a concert. We were given bracelets that lit up with each song she sang in different colors. The most amazing part came when she sang a Vallenato song, which is a very representative thing here in our culture, the whole stadium lit up with the colors of the Colombian flag, it was amazing.

Joy: my goosebump moment is the song “Tadow” by Masego with FKJ. Watching the videoclip was like watching a masterpiece. Both of them started the video playing different instruments. Masego can play saxophone, drums and piano. He can come up with an entire song playing everything all by himself and I was amazed because he is this young guy, not even thirty!

Luciano: my goosebump moment is when the protagonists in “Summer Wars” are in the middle of the final battle scene. They are facing a virus that is destroying their society. They know they are almost certain to fail against this virus and they become desperate. At that point, somebody they do not know approaches to give them hope and help them reach their goal. It’s multiple people around the world that are facing the same issue and at that moment I always shiver and cry because I realize how powerful we can be as a society, facing our issues.

Lo’ay: my goosebump moment was “Finding Dory”, especially the scene where Dory remembered the song “Just Keep Swimming”. It showed me that we as humans need to fight for what we want to do, what we love, to accept ourselves, and just keep swimming as Dory says.

Senate: my goosebump moment was when I watched the series “Atypical” which follows a teenager named Sam who is on the Autism spectrum and has decided to start dating. Although it is funny and light most times, it can be emotional as it tackles issues that most people face but are not talked about. A lot of people can relate to Sam or with the family and the struggles of raising a child who is different.

Question: my goosebump moment was during the Tokyo 2020 Olympics. Two athletes, Nijel Amos from Botswana and Jewett from the USA were running. Jewett tripped and fell and Nigel tripped over him and also went down. It is in how these athletes reacted to what had happened to them. They picked each other up, shook hands and helped each other to the finish line. Normally people do whatever they can to win the Olympics. But not these two. This was the most humane thing ever. It showed that there is hope in humanity and I was really impressed.

Roua: my goosebump moment is every time I listen to the song “This Mountain” by Fauzia. This song encourages me to do my best and it lifts me up at every difficult moment. The first time I listened to it was the day I took an exam that would determine my future and help me realize my dream of becoming a businesswoman. I passed it and I feel like that song definitely gave me a boost.

Ashleigh: my goosebump moment was the day I went to go see Sam Smith Live in Concert for the very first time in 2019. I was so excited I just could not contain myself. There were little kids, couples, old people. Everyone had that same energy because we were all there to see Sam Smith. When he started humming the melody to “Dancing with a Stranger”, the crowd went wild, and it was just amazing.

Marvellous: my goosebump moment is every time I play “Want it all” by Burna Boy ft. Polo G. The lyrics speak truth to me, and it speaks truth to every African youth that believes. The words “Working night and day, you know my people no day sleep” are strong words, enough to motivate anyone to strive for whatever they are doing and never give up!

Ndomende: my goosebump moment is when Bayern Munich took the UEFA Champions League in 2013 and when Arjen Robben scored the victory goal at the last ending minutes. That was amazing. I will never forget, it was a very amazing night.

Edwar: my goosebump moment was when the Vinotinto, the soccer team of Venezuela, defeated Ecuador. It was a surprise because Ecuador is in third place in the table of qualification in the championship in Qatar and Venezuela is last. That means that when we want to get something, and we try and work hard, we can do it.

Sarah: my goosebump moment is my 18th birthday surprise party my friends threw me. I was busy and stressed because of my exams and I didn’t even remember my birthday. At midnight, I was sleeping and suddenly I heard a voice. Suddenly lights filled the house and I was amazed to see all of my friends and family wishing me a happy birthday and giving me gifts. I was so happy!

Japhet: my goosebump moment goes back to 2018 when I watched the concert of Richard Bona titled “Vocal solo”. I am musician and I was really impressed with such a performance. The way he had fun with his voice with such precision.

Zeeshan: my goosebump moment is from “Coco” when Miguel sang “Remember me” to his grandmother Coco. Miguel’s great grandfather was a great singer, but music was banned in his family because of a big misunderstanding. Miguel went into the parallel world where he meets his great grandfather and tells him everything. When he came back to his world, he sang the song “Remember me” to his grandmother Coco.

Euaas Niaz: my goosebump moment is from the Harry Potter movie. My goosebump moment happened at the end of the movie when I saw Wizarding Chess. As a fan of chess it really clicked with me. The huge chess pieces, looking life-like and lifeless at the same time, were just incredible. The movie makes it more goosebump-worthy, by making the pawns come to life to stop Harry, Ron and Hermione.

Maria: my goosebump moment was when my mom and I celebrated New Year in Paris near the Eiffel Tower. It was a big dream of my mom’s and I decided to make this a surprise for her. It was an unforgettable moment when the Eiffel Tower started to light up with the golden lights, and my mom started to cry because she was filled with joy, emotions, and happiness.

Imran: my goosebump moment is about helping an old lady. I was going to buy groceries and I saw an old lady try to cross the road with a heavy bag of food. Suddenly she fell down and her food was damaged. I ran towards her to help her and to buy some food for her with my grocery money. I went back home with empty hands, but I was so happy for helping her. This was the best goosebump moment of my life.
