Manuel: my goosebump moment was when I watched “The Blind Side”. It is about the life story of a professional American football player and it shows how he grew up and how his household was. He had a lot of difficulties and struggles in his life, but he found a wealthy family that took care of him, trusted him and helped him to have a successful career. This movie showed me that there is still good in the world.

Ana: my goosebump moment was when I went to see “Encanto” in the movies. Nobody wanted to go with me, so I just decided to go alone. I have never enjoyed a movie like that before. The whole movie is so inspirational. It makes you believe in humanity and in your own worth. Disney movies are my biggest pleasure, and I enjoyed it so much. Especially the last moment when Mirabel touches the doorknob and the whole “Casita” lightens up.

Yedidya: my goosebump moment was when I saw hyenas in front of my home. Even though we were scared, we were also amazed. They’re really large and dog-like animals. Their back legs are smaller than their front ones and their back is sloppy. Their eyes have a light, blue light. Their skin is light brown and black. They are really awesome creatures and it was a really amazing experience for me.

Luka: my goosebump moment was when our national basketball team won the silver medal at the 2016 Rio Olympics. We were lacking our key players and everyone was skeptical about our team getting passed the group stage. But then, magic happened. We won versus Brazil, Greece, and France. We ended up losing to the USA in the finals, but we were so proud of our boys bringing home the silver medal! We celebrated so much that day and I was proud to call myself a Serbian.

Gaby: my goosebump moment was when I went to Margarita Island with my family when I was little. It is a very beautiful island that is located in Venezuela and it is such a very magical island and place. The beaches have this very gorgeous blue color, it was very special. I cherish those memories with my family, we were all so happy and healthy. I loved it!

Milki: my goosebump moment was my first driving experience. I was with my boyfriend in the car and he said, “You should try driving.” He kept so we swapped seats. I was behind the wheel and I do not even remember what I did, but I remember trying to be focused and attentive. I was so terrified. My boyfriend said “Wow you were so terrified, but you did great because you did not hit anything.”

Daniel: my goosebump moment was when I was in a singing competition and I was performing “Livin’ la vida loca” by Ricky Martin on stage in front of two hundred people. I was always shy and when I started singing shirtless the audience went crazy and started applauding me. I felt unstoppable, invincible and every time I remember that I felt this way.

Umair: my goosebump moment is from the scene where Guido proposes to Dora in the movie “Life is beautiful”. This is one of the greatest movies I have ever seen. Guido works as a waiter in a restaurant and Dora’s engagement ceremony was in the same restaurant. But Dora had feelings for Guido. I got goosebumps when Guido came on the horse and proposed to Dora in front of the whole crowd. Guido and Dora were married and lived happily with their son.

Mikias: my goosebump moment was watching my father walk for the first time after having a stroke and being in a coma for more than two months. We had lost hope for his survival, let alone walking like a normal person. After six months he took his first step, and I was filled with joy seeing him fight against all odds. Now he can walk again like a normal person. He is my inspiration in life and has taught me to keep fighting no matter the circumstances.

Nerisa: my goosebump moment was when I visited Akagera National Park in Rwanda in 2007. We took a road trip from Kigali to the Eastern province. We saw the most unexpected things ever. We saw different hospitals, churches, stadiums. We reached Akagera National Park where we saw different animals like buffalo, zebras, giraffes, snakes and many others.

Jonathan: my goosebump moment was when I read the book “The Shadow over Innsmouth” by H. P. Lovecraft. It was one of my first fiction stories. I like it a lot because of the atmosphere that the author creates at the time of presenting his narrative, how he describes places, environments and sensations. It was the book that encouraged me to write my own stories.

George: my goosebump moment was when I was 16 years old and I was watching the FIFA World Cup in a match with Brazil vs Ghana when Ronaldo, the Brazilian, scored his 15th goal which made him hold the world record as top scorer. It was amazing because he is one of the best of all time.

Ibra: my goosebump moment was in 2015 when I was trying to join the Peace Corps as a language and cross culture facilitator. I left my job to join the Peace Corps and it was not possible to come back to my former job. I had only one option: to pass or find another job. But then I was in the group of the chosen candidates and I was very, very happy.

Bemnet: my goosebump moment was eating Kitfo last year on Ethiopian Christmas. Before my grandma passed, she used to cook an Ethiopian cultural food we call “Kitfo”. That used to be my favorite food. Last year we were celebrating Ethiopian Christmas at a cultural restaurant and I ordered Kitfo. After my first bite I got stuck and felt the taste that I had missed from my grandma. That was the greatest day of my life.

Samuel: my goosebump moment is every time I play “All of me” by John Legend. This song shows sincerity and reflects love. The piano song is so soft and the music is so tender that you could listen to it over and over again every day with your partner. John Legend has done a good job of valuing love through his song.

Andrea: my favorite goosebump moment was dancing The Nutcracker Ballet at New York City in the Lincoln Center theater. It one of the most famous and magical classical ballets in history, especially because it features Tchaikovsky’s music, which is wonderful and magical. Also, spending time together with the dancers was what The Nutcracker is about, sharing Christmas time amongst family and friends.

Aboubacry: my goosebump moment was when I listened to the song “We are the world” for Haiti. Many people lost their families, and many children became orphans. They did not have anybody who would feed them. That day I told myself that there are some people who are suffering in this world, and they need help. Instead of spending money in wars and killing people we should give it to those who need it.

Honelign: my goosebump moment is the movie “The Lion King”. It is about a young lion Simba whose father was killed by Simba’s uncle Scar. Scar convinced Simba to run away from his home. Simba runs away from his home and finds his friends Timon and Pumba. My goosebump moment is the moment when he finally finds his childhood friend Nala.
