A classic that everyone should read

Already a great classic, Stephen R. Covey’s “The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People” remains one of the best books to share. The book, which has sold more than 25 million copies, remains a best seller in which Covey gives guidelines for personal growth.

His method is clear: in seven stages the reader must understand and put these habits into practice, adapting them to their personality and applying them freely in all areas of business life. The author also narrates penetrating and significant anecdotes designed to make us reflect on each of our actions and on how to access change.

The approach to change according to Stephen R. Covey

Stephen R. Covey, the so-called American Socrates, makes us reflect on each of our actions and on how to access change and true peace of mind.

Through “The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People”, the result is the construction of a bomb-proof self-confidence through the development of one’s own character, integrity, honesty and human dignity necessary to transform our work universe and change it into something authentic, unique and non-transferable.

This book was published for the first time in 1989 and is the result of a study of the “literature of success” by its author, in a personal search.

However, the 7 principles that Covey discovered, by way of laws to develop our best qualities, divest ourselves of preconceptions and face the challenges of a time in which everything seems to change every moment, have proven their validity and changed not only millions of people around the world, but the culture of various companies as well.

Who is Stephen Covey?

With more than 20 million books sold in 38 languages, Stephen R. Covey, who passed away in 2012, is considered a guru in the business world.

With a business degree from the University of Utah and an MBA from Harvard, Covey was a charismatic professor at Brigham Young University (BYU) before becoming the guru of business and self-motivation.

The author, considered one of the 25 most influential Americans by Time magazine, achieved fame and respect in the business community with his book “The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People”, first published in 1989 and made into a reading “A must for every businessman and entrepreneur”.

With the success obtained with his first book, a whole series of “The seven habits …” was unleashed, equally successful, in which the titles “The seven habits of highly effective families” stand out with more than one million sales worldwide, as “The Seven Habits of Highly Effective College Students”.

The “Seven Habits …” series expanded into an entire franchise that included an audiobook of the original title that became the highest best-selling non-fiction audiobook in American history, and brought sold-out lectures where Covey shared his recommendations with the public.

In 2008, Covey began promoting his ideas and recommendations online on the Stephen Covey Online Community website, which offered leadership and management courses and where people had the opportunity to interact with the author.
